Child patients are cared for within the NHS, and regular appointments are essential to identify any problems from an early age. It may be necessary for more frequent visits in some cases, for example during orthodontic treatment or if a high rate of decay is detected.
To help maintain a healthy mouth and smile, we recommend dental visits for children as soon as the first teeth erupt.
I have been a patient for 21 years and have always seen Dr. Surrendra and I'm convinced that he is the best dentist. His treatments are always pain free and he explains everything in detail. I have recommended the practice to so many people at work and all of them have had a great experience.
Prior to when I started attending Battersea Preventive Dental Practice about eight years ago, I had for many years been to two leading London dental hospitals and, more recently, been treated by dentists at Regent's Park and in Harley Street. The standard of dentistry and treatment I have received at B.P.D.P. far exceeds anything in my previous experience.
I've found the reception staff friendly and helpful at all times, the phone service very quick and supportive (not always guaranteed at some places) and the dental care I'm receiving is patient, well-explained, consultative (I'm given the choices and given the chance to choice rather than just being imposed upon) and effective. I've made Battersea Preventive Dental Practice my dentist of choice.
It is important to establish good oral hygiene habit from a young age and ensure excellent dental health as children grow. This is why we recommend children visit the dentist as soon as their first teeth erupt.
Our dentist are highly experienced working with patients of all ages and those with dental anxiety. By creating a welcoming environment, taking things slowly and making appointments “fun” we build up trust with your child so they can feel comfortable in a dental environment.
As a base we recommend children visit the dentist every 6 months for a checkup, though this may be more frequent depending on their oral health.
